Group Dynamics

“Wanted: a dynamic, focused individual to lead…” Dynamic and individual? What exactly is this company hiring? Dynamism sounds energetic, powerful – something’s clearly moving. But what, exactly, is moving?

Well, as usual, science has found its own way of making simple things sound more complicated.
In the scientific world, dynamics splits into two loyal companions: kinematics and kinetics.

The kinematic folks observe and analyze movement. They watch things glide, spin, or fall. But they can’t tell you why they move.
For that, we need the kinetic tribe – people inspired by Isaac Newton and his holy trinity of classical mechanics: inertia, acceleration, and interaction.
Let’s just say the kinetic crowd knows a thing or two about movement.

When Motion Turns Human

So what happens when a group of living creatures – humans or others – decide to apply dynamics to themselves?
What happens when a mass of people takes a short break from inertia and starts experimenting with acceleration?

Sure, it could be a Formula 1 team.
But more often, it’s ordinary people who just want to move something forward.
They start with themselves, join a gym, or – more dynamically – take on the problems of society.

I never met Isaac Newton, and none of my friends (as far as I know) are kinematic or kinetic professionals.
But I see movement everywhere.
The dynamics of human action are contagious – in a good, evolutionary kind of way.

During the 2020 pandemic, neighbourhood help spread faster than the virus itself.
And a girl from Sweden gave planetary physics an emotional upgrade – launching millions into motion.
Newton would’ve been impressed by what his laws have unleashed. Probably.

From Evolution to Revolution

Anyone who’s ever worked in a group knows that acceleration firsthand.
One idea sparks another.
A roomful of people suddenly becomes an engine.

Evolution did a pretty good job with Homo sapiens – it just took its sweet time.
You wouldn’t call evolution “dynamic,” but the results are undeniably creative.
Curiosity. Invention. Imagination.
A fine spirit was clearly at work there.

Now, in 2025, the world itself seems caught in a high-speed feedback loop.
Movements have multiplied.
What once seemed impossible has quietly turned into everyday life.
Ideological rifts accelerate like race cars, looping endlessly on the Formula-2 track of public opinion.
Oh la la – dystopia at full throttle.

From Spectators to Participants

At some point, the balance between inertia and acceleration flips.
And when it does, even the most patient observer can’t just sit there anymore.

Because sitting is over.
We’re not spectators.
We’re all kinetic beings now.

So – let’s accelerate creativity.
Let’s build groups.
Many groups.
With plenty of movement.
That’s what keeps the world turning.
And us with it.
